Hello, I've been trying the whole day to make my pc boot the High Sierra installer to no avail, what I've tried is: 1. Using Transmac to create a bootable USB with a .dmg file, it is recognized in the BIOS for installing but only shows a black screen with a flashing dash. I repeated this several times, both directly from boot options and from Clover, however clover didn't recognize my USB. 2. After reading a post here about the uselessness of Transmac I downloaded a utility the was advertised there, Bootdisk Utility, from an user of InsanelyMac, I believe, I though this was it but no, the same, Clover doesn't recognize my USB, which has a clover partition and a HFS partition. 3. I read on Tonymacx86 that I needed the drivers for this type of partition, which they provide in the guide but the result is the same the USB is still not recognized.
Some considerations: I have an USB 3.1, both type C and type A, first I was using the type C port but after I a while, remembering that this procedure is prone to fail, I decide to use the type A 3.0 ports, and then the 2.0 port but none of them worked.
I've yet to edit DSDT or apply kexts or anything else, I just want it to boot into the installer, even if it doesn't actually install, I just want to know it could work.
My Specs:
- Intel Core i7 7700HQ 2.80 Ghz
- Chipset Intel HM175
- Intel HD Graphics 630
- Nvidia GTX 1050Ti, no optimus setting in BIOS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
