I am looking to possibly run some tests on Mac systems and being able to have them run virtually would be very useful. I am looking for all of my options. Obviously running ESXi on Apple hardware is the supported option.
I have also found an unlocker for ESXi that seems to edit the Hypervisor and removes or changes the check that VMware does to confirm that the Mac OS is running on Apple hardware. I am hesitant to do this on a system that is running other systems we are using and is currently fully supported by VMware.
So my question is if there are any other options that don't require changes to the VMware that are not supported but are on our existing ESXi infrastructure or installed on Apple hardware?
