Today, all of my applications simply stopped being able to connect to the internet. Dropbox, video plugins, adobe updater, app store...everything. I have tried:
And have looked everywhere for a solution. A strange thing that is happening is that the computer requires a password upon login even though that is set to off and I never changed it. I have no idea what could be causing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- repairing permissions
- resetting system preferences
- reinstalling kexts
- restoring optimized defaults
- uninstalling all potential problem apps such as little snitch
