so I've been trying for a year to upgrade my MacBook. finally figured it out and have sequoia. OpenCore advised post patch already done. I did a reset and got error screen startup. once I figured out how to boot using thumb drive I used to install sequoia OpenCore advised it noticed was using thumb drive and fixed efi. now it boots properly. my 2013 MacBook running great.
