After a LOT of fooling around (let's just say that the process didn't run smoothly for me), I got Monterey installed on my MBP Early 2011, but I can't get the root patches to install. This is what I see when I try to run the root patches:
- Starting Patch Process
- Determining Required Patch set for Darwin 21 The following patches will be applied:
- Graphics: Intel Sandy Bridge
- Miscellaneous: Legacy Keyboard Backlight
- Verifying whether Root Patching possible
- Patcher is capable of patching
- Local PatcherSupportPkg resources available, mounting...
- Mounted Universal-Binaries.dmg Failed to mount root volume Subprocess failed. Command: ['/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.Dortania.OpenCore-legacy-patcher.privileged-helper', '/sbin/mount', '-o', 'nobrowse', '-t', 'apfs', '/dev/disk1s5', '/System/Volumes/Update/mnt1'] Return Code: 75 Standard Output: mount_apfs: volume could not be mounted: Resource busy mount: /System/Volumes/Update/mnt1 failed with 75 Standard Error: None
Failed to mount root volume - Recommend rebooting the machine and trying to patch again
Clearly it's trying to mount something, and can't because whatever it's trying to mount is busy. Any ideas how to get past this last issue? It doesn't matter if I reboot like it says at the bottom. Every time I get the same problem.
