OCLP botched Macbook Pro 11,3 on latest update. Black screen on boot. Unable to install root patches.

1) I have a 2014 Macbook Pro 11,3 that I installed Monterey on using OpenCore Legacy patcher. Everything was working fine until today when I decided to update Monterey to the latest version. After the update MacOS boots Success fully to the first login screen. I select my user and enter the password, then the white apple icon shows up above a white loading bar. Before that loading bar completes, my mac screen goes completely black and I cant see anything so I dont know if I am logged in or not or what is going on. From there it hangs with a black screen and the only thing i can do is turn off the mac.

In OpenCore legacy patchers documentation, it states that there is known black screen issue with macbook pro 11,3 on first boot. It says to fix the issue, first boot into safe mode so mac uses the intel gpu, and once booted in safe mode, use the legacy patcher to install the root system patches. Then your screen should work again. HOWEVER, oclp requires root permissions and an admin password to install the root patches. And unfortunately, in safe mode, the admin password is unlockable for osascript. So is any root password. Mac os just says i am entering the wrong password in osascript when booted in safe mode, so there is no way to actually install the root patches in safe mode. I cant even unlock the system keychain with any good password.

How can i unlock oclp in safe mode and/or fix this issue?

2) Last question (relevent): Do i need to wait for an update to OCLP before updating macos? Or will the same OCLP patches work on a new update to mac os as well?
