According to the Wireless Buyers Guide, Atheros Wi-Fi cards can be used with High Sierra's IO80211Family kext. This works just fine for me on Big Sur, but my PC freezes when booting Monterey with it right after a verbose mode message about PCI configuration finalizing. Other users have reported similar issues with various Atheros cards.
I've made an issue on the GitHub repository, but have had no response so far. Does anyone know what may be going on here?
