Has anyone used an m.2 nvme pcie quad card adapter with Open Core?

I discovered that I can add more m.2 nvme drives than my motherboard is slotted for by using a pcie adapter. Adding a card for 1 nvme drive was basically plug and play. Now I'm looking at replacing that with an adapter capable of plugging in 4 nvme drives, but wanted to know if this requires anything other than adjusting the bios. It doesn't require much else for Windows, but I wante to know if anyone has done this running OpenCore before I drop the money.
