Hardware:
CPU: Intel i5-4590 GPU: VisionTek RX 5500 RAM: 16 GB Motherboard: Gigabyte H97n-Wifi Screen: LG Ultrawide (2560x1080) Audio Codec: Onboard ALC892 Layout 1 Ethernet: Onboard Intel + Realtek 8111 Wifi: Old Atheros card Clover r5104, MacOS 10.15.3 (Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina) SMBIOS: iMac 14,1
So this was a system that I originally built this system based off of Stork's H97N-Wifi Build and I upgraded it to Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina and I was able to get most things working: (iMessage, sound).
I decided I wanted to add a video card, the VisionTek RX 5500, and that's where my issues started. I had to troubleshoot booting to a blackscreen which was solved by booting with -s (single user) flag, but I'm not too sure why. Not sure but maybe -radoff had helped at some point too. And then I was trying to follow the iDiot's Guide to Lilu / WEG and I'm having trouble following the steps where I set the iGPU to headless.
Looking at IOReg, I seemed to have patched ig-platform-id to a known platform-id (0x04120004) but here's where I realized GFX0 never got renamed to IGPU as note 6 from the WEG guide said it should.
And that's when I realized all the "fixes" (GFX0 > IGPU, PEG0 > GFX0, HECI > IMEI) that are supposed to be taken care of by WEG, have not been applied.
From here, it seems like I have a problem with WEG, which is up to date (version 1.4.5) and installed in /Library/Extensions. I tried installing to Clover/Kexts/Other as well, and there seemed to be no difference.
Other Kexts folder and UEFI folder
Here's my debug dump (black.dragon74 script dump) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k2i02G84TQsQygcPXlV5DSwK3J-xTcvA/view?usp=sharing
Is it related to booting in single user? If I don't include the -s boot flag, I'm stuck with black screen. How do I fix my WhateverGreen?
