Setup: i5-7500 with a gigabyte hd540. Followed the instructions at Dortania and it boots Open Core from the USB, restarts and then there is nothing written to the SSD. Yes, all of the sanity checks for the config file were green. Notable boot messages include:
When initially starting OC:
BS: Failed to locate bootstrap protocol - Not Found OC: Booter path <nil>
I think this is fine however as OC starts and then on selection, the more critical messages are:
[EB|'WL: PWLFNV] ERR(0x5) 0 GV wake-failure
[EB|'WL:DT] ERR(0x5) 0 WL: PWLFNV
Then it loads the kexts and nothing is new on reboot.
