Hi all, I'm posting here in case anyone has a similar problem to the one I had. I recently had to reflash my bios and updated to the newest (at time of post) version 2204. BIG MISTAKE. You can't downgrade, and they don't tell you that on the download page.
I had been running MacOS for about a week or two, stable, great, no issues, loving it. But now suddenly MacOS locks up on boot, cant even get the loading bar. After enabling OpenCore Debugging I was getting stuck on [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:Start]
I tried a number of things, enabling this, disabling that.
To make a very long story short, the solution I found was to set the following:
SetupVirtualMap = false RebuildAppleMemoryMap = true This is contrary to a lot of similar advice I've seen online in forums where people have stated that for this error you do the exact opposite (SetupVirtualMap=true;RebuildAppleMemoryMap=false)
I can't speak to why this change was needed, but I can say I'm thankful I found it. Here's hoping that anyone else with a similar build can find this in google, so you don't struggle for hours like I did.
