Using the Mcdonnelltech guide, I installed el capitan onto my thinkpad x220. Worked perfectly fine with the default s/n, board s/n, uuid as macbook 8,1, but I wanted to try and get imessage running. Using clover configurator i changed config.plist to use a different "invalid" s/n that is correct for the macbook 8,1, updated the board s/n to s/n + 5 random characters, and generated a random uuid. Also set the rom value to macaddr0. After restarting, i was able to log in, but regardless of what I am doing after a little more than a minute the system simply freezes for 1 second and then restarts. No error is given. I am not sure how to check the log for more information.
System specs are i5-2540M, intel HD 3000, 2x4gb ddr3-1333, 120gb ssd is only drive and only contains mac os. Using HP WMIB-275N wifi card, BCM43224HMS which is working without any mods. any help is appreciated!
