Can you (safely) boot a legit macOS Boot Drive on a Hackintosh?

Hi there,

From my limited understanding I think this is fine, but I wanted to double check with you fine folk before I give it a go.

I'm running a dual boot desktop hackintosh with Clover + Mojave installed on an internal NVME SSD and Windows 10 on a 2.5" SSD.

I also have an SSD that I use as my boot drive in a macbook pro and occasionally Mac Pro 5,1 at work. Can I safely put this SSD into an external case and select it as a boot option in clover (still booting clover from NVME SSD)? Providing no clover/kexts/driverss are installed onto it? By safe I mean it won't cause any issues when I want to take that drive back to my legitimate macbook/mac pro and boot it in one of them again?

Thanks in advance!
