Budget hackintosh PC roundup - i5 3570 vs i5 4690 - Which one have the best value for performance and future proofing?

So I want to build a hackintosh PC. However my main PC is Ryzen and since I need a second PC anyway, so I just want to build something cheap that decently future proof and with not bad performance.

Already bought a used HIS RX 580 (4gb) for this. I won't do heavy stuffs here. The heaviest workload is probably just hobby video editing and recording/streaming some programming tutorials.

I've rounded my choice to intel 3rd and 4th gen since it seems they are best one value for money wise. What do you guys think will be the better value for performance and longevity?

Passmark:

I also compare tdp and instruction sets, though I don't really know if AVX2 and FMA3 will have any use at all and help with the future proofing?

CPU TDP Instruction set differences
i5 3570 77w
i5 4690 88w AVX2 / FMA3

For motherboards I found some choices:

  • i5 3rd gen - H61 - LGA 1155
  • i5 4th gen - H81 - LGA 1150

Are they good? What's the best brand for hackintosh? Gigabyte?
