Is there a definitive guide for activating backlight/brightness control for the newer laptop, running on Skylake chips? I know RehabMan's guide has two guides on the topic, but he's using a Haswell laptop to demonstrate and I'm afraid that poking my my system in the wrong way may cause a lot of trouble for me.
