I have iMessage working, but only to send/receive from people also using iMessage/iPhone/iOS devices. SMS messages are NOT working at all. My 2013 ("legit") MacBook Pro can send/receive both iMesssage and SMS messages, so I'm wondering why this Hackintosh I've built can't.
The only thing I can think of right now, which sounds pretty "iffy" to me, is that my Hackintosh is connected to my router physically with network cable, and my MBP of course is going over wifi, as is my iPhone. I'm wondering if wifi isn't necessary to communicate texts to/from the iPhone for SMS routing, but I have no clue one way or the other if that's the case.
