Hello, Been trying to install Catalina 10.15.5 for a couple days on my desktop now. Configured the EFI folder by following the OpenCore vanilla desktop guide. Followed the Coffee Lake and z390 sections as well. How I created the installation media: I created the USB installer from my MacBook with createinstallmedia. Guide I followed: OpenCore vanilla desktop guide Relevant computer specs: i7 8700 Coffee Lake Asus Prime z390m-plus Nvidia RTX2070 (Disabled) SSD Corsair MP510 Problem: I can boot the USB stick, select Install Catalina, see the Apple logo and a progress bar moving, but then I get a blank screen. The computer is still on and seems to reboot gracefully as I press the physical restart button. My motherboard has HDMI and DVI and neither works. BIOS configuration: Went through all settings mentioned in the guide that I could find. CFG-lock is disabled, fast boot is disabled, 4G is enabled, and so on. Relevant folders and files: Here is the EFI folder in the USB stick: And here goes my config.plist: I removed all framebuffer-conX-enable and framebuffer-conX-alldata entries, but I spent a lot of time trying to get these right as well. Sanity check link (not sure if this is persistent): https://opencore.slowgeek.com/?file=coffeelake059wNvHIm&rs=coffeelake059 And the OpenCore logs: https://pastebin.com/raw/SLaNnXnS At this point, I don't know what else I could try. Any suggestions, please? Thank you very much. [link] [comments] |
