I just finished initially setting up my Desktop (X570, Ryzen 5 3xxx, 5700XT) using the patches from here. Now of course the 5700XT is running in VESA mode. So i wanted to try out the new 10.15.1 beta and downloaded it through software update.
However when trying to boot the installation from clover (labeled as "macOS Installation - Data" so it seems to boot from the APFS data partition), the boot process doesn't even seem to load the kernel, it just stops at the "row of plus signs", and i can't figure out what's going on.
Other posts regarding this hint at a problem with the filesystem driver in clover, so i tried using these newer drivers, and removing the old AptioMemory* drivers including HfsPlus.efi and the like which unfortunately also didn't work.
Booting normally still works fine, just the update won't boot.
Has anyone tried this and encountered the same issue? Or any ideas how to figure out what's going on?
