Motherboard comparison question (also, why is the z370 prime a almost 2.5x it's normal price?)

Been really wanting to get the asus z370 prime a, which usually was around 140 on amazon but the price has recently shot through the roof to an absurd +300 dollar price tag.

Anyway I saw there is a second model out now, the asus 370 prime a ii, and I was looking at the comparison between both boards and as far as I can tell, most things look the same, including audio codec, networking, etc.. but I am concerned there could be some inconsequential thing that I miss that completely bricks my build.
