MacOS VMs

I'm not sure if this fits under this subreddit, but here goes. I'm very interested about MacOS, and would like to try it in a VM. I have 2 questions for this.

1) Can I install multiple VMs in a single hard drive by allocating separate partitions for them (Linux and MacOS)?

2) If I go the VM route, does it still matter whether I'm using an AMD card or Nvidia card? Given the Nvidia drivers saga recently.

3) How big is the impact on performance if I wish to run something like Time Machine on a MacOS VM?
