Looking to install a newer version of macOS on a mid-2009 iMac (currently on unsupported El Capitan). Going to upgrade hardware to 512GB SSD and 8GB ram. Any idea on what OS version would be still supported but not be super laggy? Just looking for solid web browsing, email, etc.
Also, first time doing this so any other tips appreciated!
