I purchased a used 2016 MBP and created and signed in with a local account, no iCloud. Wanted to test out the device and try OCLP.
Built my installer USB, rebooted, installed, after about 40 minutes it was back up on Sonoma.
Noticed some weirdness with the local laptop account. I updated the password and then went to add a fingerprint, it wouldn’t take the new password, but it would take the old password.
I signed in with iCloud and have issues with “Update Apple ID Settings”. I click continue and it doesn’t do anything.
Also, Game Center and Wallet & Apple Pay just spin, won’t display anything.
Any ideas? I’m going to build a Ventura installer and go that route. To see if I can stable, working.
Does it make any difference to sign in and setup in the original Monterey, then patch up to Ventura or Sonoma?
