Hello everyone,
I'm seeking help with my Hackintosh build using OpenCore. I've managed to reach the OpenCore selection screen and can access tools like CleanNVRAM and OpenShell, but I encounter a failure when trying to boot the macOS Sonoma installer. Below are the details of my build and the issues I'm encountering:
System Specifications:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950x
- GPU: Radeon Sapphire 6600 XT 12GB
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master
- RAM: 64GB DDR5 Corsair
- Storage: SSD
- Cooling: Liquid cooling and multiple fans
OpenCore Version: 0.9.9
EFI Configuration:
- I've configured my EFI based on the Dortania OpenCore Guide for AMD systems. My config.plist is set up as recommended for AMD systems, with the necessary kexts and drivers.
Issues Encountered:
- The system reaches the OpenCore boot selector and recognizes the macOS install media.
- However, when attempting to boot into the macOS Sonoma installation, the boot process fails.
- Error Messages: Here are some snippets from the boot log:
- AAPL: #[EB.H.IS|!] Err(0xE) <- RT.GV boot-signature
- AAPL: #[EB.CFG.DEV|!] Err(0xE) <- RT.GV booter-strict-xmlparser
- The system seems to fail at early stages of the boot process, possibly during variable retrieval or kernel initialization.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Reset NVRAM using OpenCore's tools.
- Ensured all kexts are up to date and match the versions recommended by the Dortania guide for my specific hardware.
- Attempted verbose boot to get more detailed logs (provided snippets above).
