Easy way to dualboot with one ssd using MountEFI

So I might have found a new way to dualboot with just extra step!!!, I don’t know if someone else has already made a guide for this method before me but it’s really easy just one step extra which only takes like a 2-5 seconds extra

This is a alternative way to dualboot, in my case OpenCore couldn’t boot into windows so this is how I found a way around it, if you can boot into windows from OpenCore I don’t suggest doing this, but this is also an option.

So here how to do it:

Before doing this I suggest backing up just in case but I didn’t back up my data and its still fine,

Before anything boot into bios and go into startup/boot section and go into boot options and see if there is a Windows boot manager, if there is than you can continue if not then I don’t know

Now boot into macOS with the usb, then go into safari and search for “MountEFI” and enter the GitHub link then copy the command line and paste into terminal, wait for it to download then paste the second one to activate mountefi

Now read carefully, first mount the partition that macOS is installed in, for my case it was called MacOS and it was number 4, so just enter 4 then enter your password, now a disk named SYSTEM should appear and inside of it there should be a folder named EFI and in it there should be Boot and Microsoft, now rename Boot into oldBoot, then go into your usb and copy the BOOT and OC folders and paste them into the SYSTEM disk

Now shut down the pc and take off your USB

Start your pc and boot into bios, go into start up/boot page, (this is if you want to boot into Windows automatically and boot macOS manually) then enter boot section move Windows boot manager into first place (by pressing + and up Arron key at the same time) then move your ssd into second place, now safe and exit

Now you will boot into Windows automatically and when you want to boot macOS, when you turn on your pc start spamming f12 key (in my case that opens the boot menu) and enter the ssd, it should boot into OpenCore, now you can boot into OpenCore without needing a USB

Now if you want to boot into macOS automatically and windows manually then instead of placing the windows boot manager into first place place ssd into first place then the WBM into second, it will boot OpenCore automatically and you can boot windows manually manually just enter the windows boot manager in the boot menu.

I hope this helps, I tried to give a as much as detailed guide to help people out, if there is any issues or something you don’t understand, please comment I will try to help you out as much as I can!
