Last year i installed big sur on my potato laptop (i5 10th gen U, 8Gbs of ram, unsupported shite nvidia gpu) everything (except wifi, backlight keys and function keys, touchpad left click.) worked just fine. i installed garageband and reaper but both were glitchy and laggy. Audio was pure glitch madness and ONLY on audio production programs. i remember i tried to change buffer size and tweaked a few audio settings, still the same...
Anyways. i surrendered and installed windows. and it works fine till now. granted i don't use an audio interface, it's still fine.
BUT now i wanna install mojve or catalina. I wanna make sure i know what was the problem as it is my main device and i can't erase my drive and put time and effort for no results. what do you thing the problem was?
