Catalina vs Big Sur - reliability concerns for video editing?

hey folks,

so, i have been thinking about selling my radeon vii for a 6800/6900 XT. the radeon has excellent compute power, but these cards draw a ton of power and essentially have a short lifespan.

To use the new card, I'd have to upgrade from Catalina to Big Sur. I use Adobe CC 2021 (premiere, AE, photoshop, media encoder, rarely illustrator), Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro X. I have heard some plugins/3rd party software hasn't fully moved to big sur yet, and that avid hasn't fully certified the latest version of big sur yet either.

my philosophy has always to been to stay on the operating system and application version that have been tested and are fully supported by their respective companies. knowing this, i'm hesitant to move to big sur (especially knowing how fickle media composer can be). any thoughts? Thanks.
