Stuck at Display 8MB

So I'm doing a hackintosh install to my build:

B450M M2

Ryzen 5 2400G

8GB 2133

Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 windforce

So I successfully installed Catalina with OpenCore and got it booted, but it only recognized 8MB of display memory. So upon more research I found out my card doesn't have a driver for catalina.

Fast forward a bit and I recreate a usb (gibmacos) with opencore and High Sierra 10.13.6. Copied over my pre-existing OpenCore EFI that worked from Catalina again and got High Sierra installed. EFI has been copied to the drive so it boots on its own. Tried downloading the driver itself to no avail so I used some bash command and it installed a driver. After that installed I downloaded the cuda drivers, set my boot args to nvda_drv=1 and I still have 8MB of video memory.

Just wondering what I should do. I've seen some threads of working builds with a 970 with clover but I couldn't figure out how to get clover to boot into the USB OS. Is there something I am doing wrong or does opencore not like nvidia web drivers?
