There were several rumors about Apple transitioning to Ryzen before WWDC 2020. But it was all crushed after the announcement that Apple will transition to their own chips in the next 2 years.
They didn't specify which Macs will use their own chips, and gave us a "cliffhanger" that they will still continue to use Intel Chips.
Hackintosh may continue till the next 2 years or so, but what they didn't mentioned is that, they will eventually kill Boot Camp too. (Not unless Windows will support their chip).
