Hi All,
Hope everyone is safe and well. I successfully built my opencore 0.5.9 build 2 weeks ago(yehey!). Here are the specs:
- CPU: Intel i5-4670 Haswell
- GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600 1536 MB (This is what shows up in about this mac so I think I did it right lol)
- Board: Gigabyte H87n-WIFI
- Wifi/Bluetooth: Fenvi FV-HB1200 PCI-E (mounted this in the graphics card pci-e slot)
- RAM: 16 gig corsair dominator
Problem:
If I use too many USB devices at the same time, there is a delay. Example if I plug in my keyboard and mouse via USB, the mouse tracking will get serious delays and keyboard input slows down as well. I can't even type really fast anymore since I have to wait for the input to catch up. Same thing for bluetooth, if I use a bluetooth mouse and my airpods pro in a zoom/teams call, the tracking of bluetooth mouse is delayed and the input from my airpods pro is weak and lagged, making the recipient of the call have a had time to understand what I'm saying.
Using airpods only via bluetooth and keyboard + mouse in USB gives and excellent call experience, because no other device is using bluetooth. Using Keyboard only via USB and mouse via bluetooth gives a seamless typing experience and there is no conflict with the mouse since it's using bluetooth. Downside of this is if I have a sudden call and add my airpods pro, the mouse and call will lag.
I also have a jabra usb headset. When I use this in a call with both usb keyboard and mouse, the system is unusable due to input lag.
