Frustration Over Firmware Update – HP EliteBook 850 G4

I've had the HP EliteBook 850 G4 (i5 Kabylake) running both Windows 10 & Mac OS Mojave (10.14) for quite awhile. It's been stable with both Clover and OpenCore.

It worked fine until I tried to update the Firmware! I've been successfully using Firmware P78 v1.15. When I updated to Firmware P78 v1.34, the system boots Windows without issue, but refuses to boot MacOS! It appears to lock up right after loading the VoodooPS2 kexts which tells me OC succeeded, but fails to launch MacOS boot code. It also fails the same way with Clover. I have tried minimal configurations of both Clover and OpenCore without success. I've also tried disabling everything that isn't absolutely necessary in the Firmware Settings.

Most recently, I tried removing VoodooPS2Controller & its associated plugins. When I did that, the verbose output started displaying a ACPI error indicating a problem with _SB.PCI0.LPCB.EC0.GBAW. Perhaps that's a clue?
