[Q]: Help to edit FrequencyVectors (for CPUFriendProvider) to LIMIT the different CPU frequencies --> Reduce coil whine on XPS13/9360

Hey all,

I've spent all day trying to find a way to reduce the number of p-states (CPU frequencies) to reduce the coil whine on my XPS13/9360. I notice when it stays on some frequency (i.e 800 MHz) noise is a lot less than if it's switching between 800 MHz, 1.1 GHz, 1.5 GHz, etc.

I know this information is encoded in the FrequencyVectors plist and I've spent time messing with freqVectorsEdit, ResourceConverter, etc but I haven't found a sane way to get a list of supported CPU frequencies and pass that along ; thus far I can only edit the LFM which is helpful but doesn't solve the problem I'm after.

Thoughts?
