Is an Nvidia GPU forever useless for new builds since Mojave? Or are there workarounds..

Literally bought a GTX 1060 last year to play some VR on my dual boot, now looking to upgrade my MoBo and Processor, but wasn’t looking forward to buy a new GPU yet again.

It does seem like I don’t have a choice if I want to run anything higher than High Sierra..
