I'm considering getting one of those cards for my brother's Hackintosh he uses mainly for video editing since he is in cinema school (and uses mainly fcpx, premiere and resolve), for his workload considering a 150 ish price on ebay (and 180 new on amazon) for the 580 and a 250-280 on ebay and a 280 (for the airboost version) on amazon for the 56 what would you recommend? He is now with the igpu since we set up his Hackintosh not long ago and decided to wait navi and see whether anything good would come out for his usecase, I don't know how either of the 2 work in macOs for those tasks so that's why I'm asking here.
