Why did disabling Intel injection fix my KP after enabling SIP (0x0)?

  • Part List: Link
  • MacOS version: 10.14.4 -> 10.14.5
  • EFI Folder: Link

Goal

I wanted to have full SIP enabled (0x0) so future upgrades would be easier, but I would get a KP every time I booted up.

Solution

Upon further investigation (trial and error, random unchecking in Clover), I discovered that unchecking Inject Intel in GPU settings fixed my issue.

So then I edited my config.plist, removed all Devices -> Properties, aka no more AAPL, ig-platform stuff. Then I added: Graphics -> Inject -> Intel -> <false/>, and removed shikivga=40 from boot falgs, and it boots just fine with SIP enabled. My upgrade went flawlessly as well. Not only that, but I have full iGPU support for VDA?

Bugs (pls help)

Only bug but I see is right before my login screen I get pink horizontal lines all over the place, then I get the quick apple boot animation fine after that. Someone please help me with this if you have it, it bothers me. I get this with SIP disabled/enabled. It just happened after upgrade.

So does this mean that I just have working UHD 630 out of the box?
