Replacing the wifi card on Gigabyte Z370N WiFi Mini-ITX motherboard: Are there multiple reivisions of the chip that will work with the M2 adapter? What is the newest or otherwise best one to find?

I've seen a couple of older guides for this install using the adapter on this motherboard, they tend to be using the chip from 2014-15 MacBook Air. I don't know if there have even been any improvements since then, but is there a newer one I can look for that would also work?
