Radeon VII - only VESA mode.

Hi guys,

I am trying to get my Radeon VII running in Mojave 10.14.5 beta (18F127a).

While the card is recognised right out of the box, the driver crashes with this lovely message present in the log:

I tried every trick I could find, so far:

• iMacPro1,1 with no iGPU,
• iMac18,3 with no iGPU,
• iMac18,3 with framebuffer-less iGPU,
• iMac18,3 with full iGPU and a screen connected to it,
• editing AMDRadeonX5000*kext Info.plist,
• using WEG,
• not using WEG,
• Using multitude of DP and HDMI cables,
• Updating the card's bios,
• Dropping _DSM from the card's SSDT,
• Creating a new _DSM from scratch...

. . . and nothing seems to work, I always find the same problem in the log. It is driving me insane, because of how close it seems it is to working.

My hardware is:

• Sapphire R7
• Dell U3415W
• Gigabyte Z170 Designare (with latest available bios)
• i7-7700K

Windows claims my current setup is HDCP enabled; I don't have anything to test that with conclusively as I don't watch "protected content".
