Airport Express in Client mode

I gave up on getting a "right" pcie card for wifi.

Does anybody have an Apple Airport Express connected as a client to your home wifi network and provides a wired connectivity to your Hackintosh?

Can it be easily joined to non-Airport network? Will I be able to manage it via WAN-port (I am looking and 802.11n 1st Gen.)?
