Unable to change fan speed

Hey guys,

I've rebuilt my Hackintosh with a Gigabyte Z270 Gaming 5 mobo with a corsair h100i and 3 case fans on separate headers. Previously I just used mac fan control to change speed but on this build, the CPU diode value doesn't show and when I do alter the fan speed it just stops them/turns them right down even if i manually crank it to full speed (previously on my last motherboard this worked) Any ideas? I've got HWmonitor and that doesn't seem to change the speeds either, using the latest version of fakesmc with all the addins
