Questions on Dual Booting.

EDIT: Preface: I've had this system going since El Capitan and I've recently had to reinstall my windows from a corruption. Once that happened, my Mac drive corrupted and my hair went grey. What's weird is that I recall being able to switch between my drives before - I originally installed both OS onto their own SSD while the other was disconnected. Anyway --

I'm almost done with the sidebar guide of dual booting, but before I finish I had questions come to mind if anyone's free to answer.

Will windows try to write over the Mac HD anytime you boot into it - or is it just on the install - AND if the install is the case, could we not just disconnect the Mac hd while installing windows and then boot into both separately in bios?

I guess next would be- If we followed the guide and installed clover onto both drives, does installing clover on the windows drive enable anything other than the ability to boot into it via the Mac OS Uefi boot?

And do we have to go that route because windows will try to corrupt the Mac drive?

Thanks!
