Heads up, AD27QD monitor does not work at 144 Hz with Nvidia Web Drivers on High Sierra

Posting this in case someone else runs in to this issue.

When the monitor is set to 144 Hz, the screen goes black and the monitor might have turned itself off. This is with the latest Nvidia web drivers 387.10.10.10.40.124 on High Sierra.

To recover, I booted in to safe mode and enabled screen sharing in the sharing system preference. Then used another computer to VNC in and set the refresh rate to 120 Hz.
