So I made the mistake of not researching this before I bought it. But really, who would have guessed that the “Plus” version would be incompatible. Dern thing should just work, it’s still an NVME drive. Anyways.
My question is, does anyone know if anyone is actively working on this problem? AppleIOnvme kext causes a spontaneous reboot pretty well instantly when you access the drive.
I’m wondering if I should just return it to Amazon and get a standard 970 EVO, or bide my time for the inevitable patch. I’d rather have the faster drive in the long run, but if this isn’t going to get fixed in Mojave, period, I’ll just go back to the older slower drive and upgrade again later on.
