Hi guys, i have this old Asus laptop ( Mb: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. N56VB (SOCKET 0), 740M, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD) and was wondering if a hackbook project would bring this old pal back to life as a way to both learn how to build a hackintosh and also have a browsing machine.
The bang&olufsen speakers on this bad boy are ridiculously loud and put my dell inspiron to shame.
I can't find the exact motherboard model on Asus' website, but that was given to me by speccy.
After watching some yt videos i heard people saying that usb 3.0 doesn't work on mac and i only have usb 3.0 on this model. Can this issue be solved? Because this would mean i wouldn't be able to use the internet, as neither the wifi cards are supported afaik.

LE: I figured to mention that the battery on my laptop is not working at all. Can't see how this would cause any problems, but you can never be too sure.
