Banned by TonyMac for Posting a Vanilla Guide

I just finished 3 weeks learning the ins and outs of a hackintosh and painfully experimenting and trouble shooting. I will admit some of the folks on the Tonymacx86 site were incredibly helpful. So finally after I got everything working I thought I should try to give back to the community and wrote my installation guide. It was rich in screenshots, graphics and photographs and I spent another week writing it partly so that I could also keep a written record of what I did in case I had to redo the whole thing. I wrote that my installation was using Vanilla and not the Unibeast and Multibeast method.

6 hours later, I get banned. Permanently. No warning, no deleting that post, but my entire account that I had since 2012 banned. I have contributed so much to that community also, and had posted more than 1000+ posts.. all for naught. The reason? Because I mentioned Vanilla and linked the Reddit sidebar article that got me started.

I am so upset that these guys could stoop this low. What is wrong with Tonymacx86 that they feel so threatened by anyone mentioning anything else?

If it weren't for some of the very helpful and knowledgeable people there I would not regret this but would it have hurt to at least give me a warning or maybe delete the offending post? An account ban and deletion for something this mundane seems incredibly harsh.

Just venting...
