It would be great if there was a linux distro that you could burn to a USB stick and boot a machine with that would look at each component and determine it's MAC compatibility factor. Maybe even by color code like:
Green=Native compatibility/ no driver or mod required
Yellow=Driver/patch or mod required
Red=Not compatible
This would be helpful to be able to walk up to any computer at a SWAPSHOP or classified ad; and find out if it's going to be compatible with MACOS before you purchase it and have to open it up and begin cross referencing model numbers of all the components on the motherboard with online compatibility lists. It would save a lot of time to just boot something up and get a rating for all the components.
