Hello. I need help trying to install MacOS 10.15 Catalina on a Dell Latitude 5400 Laptop, but I keep getting the error "In Memory Panic Stackshot Succeeded ** Bytes Traced 265840"
SPECS:
- CPU: Intel i5-8365U (Whiskey Lake-U)
- RAM: 16GB 2400MHz Dual Channel (Idk about the brand I don't think this affects anything)
- iGPU: Intel UHD 620 (Whiskey Lake version) (64MB Video Memory)
- SSD: SK Hynix PC611 512GB on AHCI mode in BIOS
- Ethernet: Intel I219-LM
- WLAN: Intel Wireless-AC 9540 160MHz + Bluetooth 5.0
- Sound Card: Either AC236 (I forgot, but it could either be another card starting in AC3xxx but I didn't write the code down, and I can't remember where I even found it, but I know it is unsupported by the AppleALC boot-arg codes since I checked a few days before)
I have a few ideas on why this might be happening, but I generally don't know.
Suspected Issue 1: My SSD could be in-compatible. I have just bought this laptop for making a Hackintosh (since my previous laptop has an unsupported iGPU), so I haven't taken much time to deeply research this SSD's compatibility, but I've seen people say it is compatible and some say it is not.
Suspected Issue 2: I have very little to no clue on how to set up the 'Root/DeviceProperties/Add' and I have seen posts saying that a messed up Device Property could lead to errors.
PS: I have tried other's EFI's for the Dell Latitude 5400, installing Ventura MacOS (1, 2), but none of them have worked (I have changed a few kext's/ACPI's depending on my hardware (there are Dell 5400's with different hardware components)). Also, I am installing MacOS Catalina just to test if it's not Ventura messing up the installation. I have attached the Opencore error .txt in my EFI FOLDER, but I have only attached my most recent one.
Please feel free to ask about my BIOS settings on this laptop, since I am not going to put them all in my post.
