I have an old MacBook Pro mid 2012 that isn't really going to get used anymore as I got a Dell XPS 9500 for work.
Could I grab the serial etc from this and use it in a hackintosh so that iMessage etc work?
Any reasons this might be a good/bad idea?
Or do I not need to and it should just work with a generated serial?
