I'm just finishing buying my parts for my Z490 Hackintosh and was about to buy a 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus until I saw some comments about how, even with the firmware fix, the performance is degraded. I'm looking for the ~fastest~ reasonably priced drive below $200, so the Evo Plus seemed like my best bet (at $190), but the comments I've seen suggest I wouldn't get any benefit out of the drive specifically on macOS (over other less expensive NVMe options).
Can anybody confirm this/speak to the performance they've experienced/tested? I don't mind booting into Windows to flash the firmware before I setup macOS, but if the performance is degraded I suppose I'll go for the Saberent Rocket which is at $200 right now.
