SFF Hackintosh on ASRock Z390M-ITX-ac i7-9700 Gigabyte Radeon 5700XT based on OpenCore

This is my first attempt at a Small Form factor computer and a Reddit post.

It's work in progress as I'm yet to work on cable management, Case fans, Secondary OS, testing, tuning etc., Feedback welcome though.

Hardware config

  • Motherboard: ASRock Z390M-ITX-ac
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 9700k
  • CPU cooler Thermalright AXP-100 Copper with Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM
  • GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX5700 XT
  • RAM: G.SKILL Aegis 32GB DDR4 3200
  • Case: SFX A4 A50 G5 Plus K55 Computer Case Aluminum ITX A4 Small Computer Case
  • SSD: ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 2nd Gen
  • WiFI: BroadCom BCM94360CS2 with NGFF adapter

What Works

  • iMessage
  • WiFi/Bluetooth
  • Sleep/Wake
  • AirDrop/Continuity/Unlock with Apple watch
  • Shutdown etc.
  • Audio
  • Idle temps around 36 ℃ with Case open, 65℃-70℃ with 100% CPU load

What doesn't work

  • Cable management
  • Additional case fans
