I’ve upgraded my system over time and am currently running an i9 9900k & Vega Frontier, along with 3 HDD’s for long term storage. I have yet to upgrade my Corsair RM 650X power supply. Been having some instability with the graphics card specifically when editing 4K footage in Premiere. Currently on Mojave 14.6
Screen will go to a completely grey screen and I’ll have to force a restart. Thinking this is the GPU because sometimes the audio that’s playing in a project will continue for a few seconds after the monitor goes grey. Eventually that stops and it then it’s completely frozen.
What type of symptoms can occur if you aren’t using a high enough rated power supply? When do you know if it’s time to upgrade?
