I am trying to recreate an old physical machine (Mac High Sierra) from a backup I have in VMware Fusion 11. For everything to work I need the ByHost (the original machines' hardware UUID) settings to be restored. I spent all weekend looking for an answer, but couldn't find any that worked. Setting the uuid.bios does not work.
Maybe someone here has so ideas from other work they have done.
